How it spreads?
1.The virus primarily spreads between people in a similar way to influenza, via respiratory droplets produced during coughing or sneezing.
2.The virus does not settle in the air, but on the ground, so it is not transmitted by the air. But these droplets can fall on surfaces, so people can also catch infection if they touch a surface that has been contaminated by the virus, and then touch their eyes, nose or mouth.
3.Virus stay viable and contagious on a metal, glass or plastic surface for up to 9 days at room temperature.
How to protect yourself?
1.Avoid close contact with people infections. Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
2.Frequently wash hands for at least 20 sec or clean hands with alcohol based sanitiser that contains 60 to 95% alcohol.
3.If you have infection, practice "cough etiquette", including maintaining distance, covering coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or the inside of an elbow, and washing hands.
Who should wear mask?
1.If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with suspected 2019-nCoV infection.
2.Wear a mask if you are coughing or sneezing.
3.Masks are effective only when used in combination with frequent hand-cleaning with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
4.If you wear a mask, then you must know how to use it and dispose of it properly.
